Ableton Live 8 & Suite 8 have been released and the new feature list is long. Here to help us decode the new features and point out some power tips is Ableton’s Dave Hill jr.

Please feel free to bring your laptop and have Dave answer any questions you may have. In this presentation, Dave will show Live 8’s new elastic audio and warp marker enhancements, the Live 8 groove pool, several new Ableton devices, how Ableton’s online collaboration works, Ableton Suite 8 new instruments, and some tips on beat making with Ableton Live’s drum racks.

We’ll also have a prototype of highly anticipated Akai Professional APC40 on hand to take a look at.

The presenter:
Dave Hill, Jr. has worked for Ableton since 2003 and is currently the Managerial Director at Ableton Inc. Dave wrote the book ‘Ableton Live 2 Power’ before joining Ableton. His background as both an acoustic drummer/percussionist and electronic musician gives him a musician-friendly take on composing and performing with Ableton Live.
